Difficulty contacting referral agencies – how we can help

Tavistock Foodbank wants to reassure anyone who finds themselves currently in financial difficulty, perhaps due to the consequences of COVID-19, which results in not being able to afford food for themselves or their family that we are here to help.  We are also aware that the normal procedure of being referred to us, by our referring agencies, for food, is proving challenging for everyone involved, as face-to-face assessments are not available at the moment and that you may be experiencing delays getting through on the phone to our normal agencies, such as Citizens Advice, DATA, Children’s Centre, LiveWest Housing, TASS, WDBC Housing to name a few.  If that is the case then please ring us direct on 07941 436149 and we will simply take your details over the phone and pass them on to signposted agencies direct for support and assessment.  This will speed up the process for all concerned and importantly provide you with food quicker.

 

We will continue to offer our services for as long as possible – but for the moment it’s business as usual!
